Mangala Vihara Youth Circle had been actively involved
in the community service since
early 2007 participated in visits to the Geylang Homes
for the Aged.
Every 2nd Sunday of each month, our youths not only bond
with the residents of the Homes but also residents who
are on financial aids.
These residents reside in 1-2 room flats at the vicinity
of the Home. Our young and energetic youths assist in
carrying foodstuffs and household items to various
residents and usually spend time chatting and getting to
know the residents. They are now friends to the elderly
and they are always beaming with smiles during our
visits. We are glad that our young members are keeping
this community spirit high.
